Phone verification when signing in

Add another layer of security to your account by enabling phone verification. Every time you sign in, we'll send a text message to your mobile phone with a verification code. You can also verify your sign in with a phone call.

Phone verification will be applied to all the accounts you access with your ID. You'll also be prompted for a security code on mobile devices.

Set up

  1. Click Me, and then Update your personal info.

  2. Scroll to the bottom and click "Add your mobile phone to this account" Add your mobile phone

  3. Enter your phone number, and pick your security questions. We'll use the answers to sign you in if you're without your phone. Your phone number

  4. Verify your phone with the code we send you. Enter the code

  5. Verify your password. Enter your password

  6. You'll then see a confirmation page Huzzah! All set!

Signing in with phone verification

  1. After you enter your ID and password, you'll get a text message. Enter the number from that message, and you'll be signed in. Enter your code

    Don't want a text message? Click "Call my phone instead." That will be your default verification method from now on. You can switch back to text messages at any time.

  2. Enter the code. The authorization lasts until you click 'Sign out.'

What if you forget your phone?

On the code verification page, click to get a code from our support staff and then follow the verification instructions. Click to go through the verification process

Turning off phone verification

If you don't want to use phone verification any more, turning it off is easy.

  1. From your Launchpad, scroll down and click "Turn-off phone verification" Turn it off

  2. If you're sure, click "Yes, turn off phone verification" Yes, turn if off

  3. Enter your password to confirm. Enter your password

  4. You'll see a confirmation screen and receive a confirmation email. Phone verification turned off Email confirmation
